The double life that is Kern Glyph is divided between mindful days as a freelance illustrator and sporty nights as a typographer hero. Since his daily projects don’t allow him to play enough with typos, when the night falls, he gears up into his superhero suit and hits the streets substituting poor typography on store and institution signage and replaces it with timeless, well-applied types. Some nights, when the air is still, his mind drifts off into wondering why IKEA took Verdana as their main font when Futura was perfect… he just can’t let it go.
In the SC99 Film, Kern plays a game against a bunch of extruded playful type blocks. Buy book
